Alameda
The modern house is located in Alameda, an artificially filled island in the San Francisco Bay.
At the heart of sea level rising concerns, the 1,500 sqft concrete building is raised above the high-risk flood zone and supported by a dense grid of 20 ft deep piers.
The H-shape of the house creates two outdoor rooms, designed for the owners’ love of gardening and cocktail parties. The common areas and master bedroom have unobstructed views of the Bay.
Groundbreaking is scheduled for summer 2021.
